Day 2: Broome to Derby (220 km, 2.5 hours) Drive east from Broome to Derby. Along the way, consider stopping at Windjana Gorge National Park to see its striking limestone cliffs and freshwater crocodiles. In Derby, visit the Boab Prison Tree, a historical landmark, and explore the town’s rich Indigenous heritage.
Day 3: Derby to Fitzroy Crossing (400 km, 4.5 hours) Continue eastward to Fitzroy Crossing. Take a cruise along Geikie Gorge, known for its towering cliffs and abundant wildlife. The boat tour offers an opportunity to spot freshwater crocodiles, birds, and other native fauna.
Day 4: Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek (290 km, 3.5 hours) Drive to Halls Creek, a town known for its Aboriginal art and cultural significance.
